Formed in 2003 as an electronics-based grouping with an stress on the dancefloor, the Whitest Male child Alive eventually abandoned entirely electronic computer scheduling and most other forms of synthetic substance orchestration for a typical stone band setup. Guitarist/vocalist Erlend Øye (the Kings of Contrivance), bassist Marcin Öz, drummer Sebastian Maschat, and keyboardist Daniel Nentwig began performing a form of heterosexual person and stripped indie controversy informed by betimes Talking Heads and Josef K. They released their number single album, titled Dreams, in 2006.
